The United Way of Auglaize County and our 20 Partner Agencies utilize hundreds of volunteers to make an impact in our community. If you are interested in giving your time to make a difference we have several options for you to help.

Volunteer for The United Way of Auglaize County Day of Caring

Each year, Day of Caring volunteers work on improvement projects for Centre County; these services are available for all qualifying non-profit organizations, community recreational facilities, historical sites, and other relevant areas. The projects consist of activities such as landscaping, painting and repair. Last year's event had over 226 volunteers, working on over 24 projects.

Volunteer with an Agency

Work hands on to impact our community by volunteering directly with one of our 20 partner agencies in the areas of Financial Stability, Education & Prevention and Health and wellness. For more information about our agencies visit our partners page.

Volunteer in our Community Campaign

Work to help raise awareness and funds for all of our agencies together by volunteering to assist with The United Way of Auglaize County's annual campaign. Every year it takes countless volunteers to spread our message and let our community know about the important work that our agencies are doing everyday to help make our county a great place to live for everyone.

Volunteer with our Citizens Review Allocations Committee

Every year the United Way of Auglaize County relies on the leadership and judgment of 21 volunteers from across the county to hold our agencies and ourselves to a higher standard of effectiveness and fiscal responsibility. It is a short time commitment that will have a tremendous impact on the quality of life of everyone in our county.

Volunteer with our Ohio Benefits Bank Tax Clinics

Work to ensure that everyone in our community receives the benefits they deserve is by volunteering as an Ohio Benefits Bank Counselor and assist working families file their income taxes for free. Last year Ohio Benefits Bank volunteers helped prepare and file over 200 tax returns for working families across our county, making sure that these families received the Earned Income Tax Credit that they deserved.

Board of Trustees:

Meets monthly and is charged with carrying out the United Way of Auglaize County mission to identify, evaluate, and make possible the human services in Auglaize County County. The Board develops all policies necessary for the legal and corporate existence of the agency, ensures the agency meets legal requirements for conducting the business of the corporation, adopts bylaws and revisions when necessary, adopts policies that determine the purposes, functions, and activities of the United Way consistent with the Mission Statement, determines and is responsible for internal policies which govern the operation of the United Way, and responsible for strategic planning that ensures the viability of the organization.

Finance/Audit Committee:

Reviews financial reports and matters involving the fiscal health and welfare of the organization; develops investment policies and monitors the campaign revenues and reserves on a monthly basis; makes recommendations to the full Board for investment proposals to ensure financial stability of the United Way of Auglaize County.

Marketing Committee :

The Marketing Committee communicates the United Way Brand to the community through education and awareness. It is the purpose of the committee to make Auglaize County residents more familiar with the mission, vision, and activities of the United Way. It also provides advice and support to special initiatives of the United Way.
